I would buy this and modify it to my liking. Not CP in my book, if it all checks out. I'm fine with the salvage if I'll just be modding and hooning the car anyways. Only thing that makes me sad is that I won't get to ride the NSX bubble with my high mileage salvage NSX.

As long as it’s fine and it drives so I can enjoy it no matt- wait, $20,000?

.... Hm... Think I might need to be stringent on the “it’s fine” bit. But as long as it’s not a rolling deathtrap, I guess I can enjoy this fine piece of Honda engineering. If 80% of it’s still there.

Potentially NP, would have to test drive to confirm that it runs nicely before confirming

You’ll be able to actually ride your NSX though! Independent throttle bodies and all sorts of go faster bits should be in order for this NSX.

Salvage? Hell no.

Otherwise, hell yes all day long to the NSX.

Pending a test drive and inspection I’d say NP. That said I’d also try to see how low his bottom dollar is. After all it is still a high mileage salvage example

Considering nsx prices lately, this strikes me as an NP, especially with a manual

Salvage titles scare me, I’d have to rip it completely apart and inspect it.

Without the salvage title, NP for sure.

Too much. Good car, couldn’t care less if I couldn’t get full coverage insurance on it at that mileage, but too much money. $10k-14k max. Sorry, but a salvage title is a salvage title, doesn’t matter what car it is.

20k and a salvage title? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA CP all the freaking way. With a clean title sure, but the rebuilt title is an automatic CP for me at that price.

Yes but the next lowest NSX clean with stick is 33k

Would be a fun time. Throw on some new wheels and refresh the suspension, then just enjoy the car!

Doesn’t make this less crack pipe, because I’ll bet you that one isn’t a salvage title.

No but it's the only stick that's sub 35k also there are autos that are in the 25 range

And that is a fair point, but for me, a salvage title will almost always be CP due to there being no really way to tell what cause the totaling out of the car to being with or how well it was actually repaired. So, lets assume that it’s a stellar repair job, you pay the 20k, and get a manual NSX for 15k under the going rate of one that has a clear title, this is great, however when/if it comes time to sell, you’re going to have to convince the next guy that repairs (that happened before you took possession, thus making it harder to verify) that the repairs are indeed worth the kind of money you are asking. Worst case scenario, the frame is buggered to hell, and it’s got all kinds of gremlins from some major accident, but the pictures and bodywork done make this hard to see. In this case, you’ve just paid 20k for a nightmare, and there is nothing you can do about it because the car is sold “as is”. Now, granted, the reality of te situation is likely somewhere in between the two scenarios, but you are still paying $20k for an unknown quantity, and that is just too rich for my blood.

It’s not like I wouldn’t have it inspected and have my buddy who owns an NSX not come look at it.

Yeah, but there is still stuff that an inspection can miss, especially electrical stuff. Like I said, too rich for my blood, but if it works for you man, more power to you.
